Hey everyone! Welcome to another Keep Network DEV Updates, a weekly recap of all things related to the development of the Keep Network.

What is Keep Network? Keep is Ethereum’s first private computer, able to store and compute data hidden even from itself.

This Week in Keep Network

  • The first community election ended in #🗳governance-polls Discord channel and the results were finally announced! This is a very important step on the path to our broader plans for decentralized community-based governance — Check who are our new multi-sig members here.
  • The community managers put together a guide to how to provide KEEP and TBTC liquidity and how to stake with a provider or on your own. If you’ve been interested in staking KEEP or running a node to help run tBTC and earn rewards — Check it out here.
  • As Keep grows more and more the team is now looking for a remote Senior Product Designer to help support and shape tBTC’s vision, and lead great design for tBTC’s success — Read the job posting here.
  • Keep Network decided to increase the rewards for staking saddleBTC LP tokens, effective as of tomorrow January 29th it will be doubled to 250K KEEP per week — Check it here.
  • The first Keep Community Dev Workshop is happening tomorrow January 29th at 3 pm EST. Hosted by our community member Python Metaclass — Read more here.
  • The Keep team outlined in a blog post a step-by-step on how to get/earn KEEPs to stake it in the network — Catch up here.
  • The Liquidity rewards of the last week have been successfully distributed as well the Stakedrop rewards from the last interval — Read the details here.

Development Updates

Rewards top-up PR update was added this week — This will add the following updates regarding top-ups:

  • Moves top-up table to the top of delegation page letting the users check what they already have before delegating more and also insert the complete top-up button at the top of the page.
  • Adds support for displaying the Topup is ready to be committed notification- we could notify the user when they have a top-up that's ready to be committed.

This pull request is still a work in progress, for more information :(#2307)

The KEEP-only staking pool Dapp is taking shape and although it is currently at work in progress stage it already has a lot of structured commits such as Skeleton of the keep only pool UIAdd keep only pool iconMerge remote-tracking branch ‘origin’ into keep-only-pool-dappAdd TokenGeyserLPRewards strategy. (#2310)

A PR was submitted this week to add the LP Token Balance in the liquidity Dashboard. It displays the token balance for the pairs and also adds a comma for thousands separator to the rewards and LP balance numbers. — Still in development awaiting 1 approving review (#2302)

Ongoing Discussions

This week I’m highlighting the first Keep Community Dev Workshop that will be happening tomorrow January 29th at 3pm EST. Hosted by one of our most prominent community member pythonmetaclass, this workshop will include:

  • A quick overview of allthekeeps and the subgraph.
  • How to add a feature to the subgraph and an example of it, based on the Keep smart contracts.
  • Example of adding a feature directly to allthekeeps.

The team will share a link to join 10m before the workshop starts tomorrow on Discord.
